She is fully equipped and insured and boasts extensive navigational and wreck finding equipment second to none. Michelle Mary carries 12 passengers comfortably, safely and quickly to the mid channel wrecks of the South Coast for both angling and diving.

Littlehampton has excellent facilities for both anglers and divers and is a very popular seaside holiday resort for all the family. It is an ideal gateway to explore the beautiful South Coast both at sea and ashore.

Meet the Skipper!

I'm Ivan, owner and skipper of the Michelle Mary. For those that are interested and not easily bored, please read on to find out more about me! I had my first boat at the age of 9; a 9ft marine ply dinghy. I then progressed to a 12ft Lower beach boat which I used for netting for a couple of years then had a 16ft Lower beach boat built. In 1974 I started diving and joined the Shoreham branch of the B.S.A.C. and bought a 17ft Dory with 115 HP engine for diving. The big change came in 1978 when I bought my first charter boat, Jungfrau, a Lochin 33. This was replaced in 1986 by Miss Fiona a Freeward 35 which gave more space although slower and it rolled like a pig! In 1990 I was able to get one of the best sea boats built, a Lochin 38 called Michelle Mary. After 21 years working for Ricardo Consulting Engineers as an Instrument Calibration Technician, I along with 60 others was made redundant in Feb 91. Since then I have been chartering full time. I could never go back to a nine to five job as I love the sea and working on it.
